When you need it
A wet bag is useful from the first weeks, for blowout outfits, burp cloths and cloth diapers. It stays useful for years, up to around 5 years and beyond, for swimsuits, potty accidents and muddy clothes.
What to look for
Look for waterproof, odor-resistant fabric with a sealed zipper and a hanging strap or handle. Different sizes help, with a small one for the diaper bag and a large one for home or cloth diapers. Machine-washable fabric is essential. Check seams and zippers, since leaks often start there.
